Black and White Photo Challenge

There's been a thing going around social media recently: "#blackandwhitechallenge No humans, narrative or explanation". The idea is to take and post seven black-and-white photos of your life, one per day for seven days. It turns out to be surprisingly difficult to take an interesting photo every day, but the constraints made it an interesting way to, perhaps, improve my photography.

My seven photos, this time with explanation, were:

  1. The Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial in Budapest
  2. A Harrier Jump Jet, part of the RAF100 event at Glasgow Science Centre
  3. The entrance to the Informatics Forum at the University of Edinburgh, while attending SCONE#20
  4. An old lamp outside a house in Dowanhill, Glasgow
  5. Detail of a display panel in the Kibble Palace, Glasgow Botanic Garden
  6. Swans on Bingham's Pond
  7. A tree in Silhouette in Kelvindale, Glasgow

And, yes, I cheated a little, since the photo from Budapest was taken a couple of weeks before the others, but I was just finishing up the edits of my photos from that trip on the first day of the challenge...

Colour will resume shortly.
