What is the Impact of Encrypting Transport-layer Protocol Headers? (update)

I gave a brief update on
our work on the impact of encrypting transport-layer protocol headers
during the IETF 103 meeting in Bangkok.
This work has been significantly revised during the last year, based on
feedback from Al Morton, Chris Seal, Kathleen Moriarty, Spencer Dawkins,
Joe Touch, and Brian Trammell, and has now been adopted as a work item
of the IETF Transport Area Working Group. We continue to revise
the draft, but believe it is getting near completion. We hope to
move the work to IETF last call for publication as an RFC in the next
few months, and will thereafter submit an updated version for publication
in an academic journal to try to reach a broad audience. Any additional
comments and feedback are appreciated.
