Scottish Networking Event (SCONE) #17
12 January 2017
/ scone
The
17th Scottish Networking Event will be held at the University of
Glasgow on 12 January 2017, starting at 13:00 (with a light lunch
provided from 12:00). SCONE is the Scottish Networking Event, an
informal gathering of networking and systems researchers in and around
Scotland.
The goal of the meeting is to encourage discussion and interaction
between those working on systems-related things in Scotland. PhD
students and RAs are encouraged to offer short (20 minute) talks on
their work, and there will be time for announcements of interest to the
community (job adverts, CFPs, data sets, tools, etc.). The goal is to
be informal, to give chance of students to practice talks in a friendly
atmosphere, and to give everyone chance to meet and chat to others
working in similar areas.
Attendance is free, but registration is required (so we can order
enough lunch and coffee). Please contact me
to register, or to offer a talk.
